As an engaged couple.
We’re gonna get married!
Sam just couldn’t believe it. The love of his life, his soulmate and his best friend had just agreed to marry him and spend her entire life with him. He just couldn’t believe it. It was the most amazing thing to ever happen to him, besides being able to make that baby of theirs. Half a year ago, he was frightened to death about the thought of marriage, but now, it all just seemed to make sense, so why shouldn’t he have done? He was glad that he now had. Even though they were having trouble putting on the ring on Quinn’s thick fingers that had grown because of the baby.
Smiling, Sam put the ring in Quinn’s hand, just before he wrapped his arms tightly around her as much as he could, given the fact that her belly was starting to show quite a bit, and was getting in the way of them. Kissing her cheek, he sighed comfortably. “I’m just grateful that you said yes… I can’t believe it…” He said, pulling back and looking her straight into her eyes. “We’re getting married, Quinn. We’re getting married!” Sam almost shouted, leaning in and kissing her lips passionately. “You’re gonna be a Mrs. Evans and we’re going to have a little Evans junior… I can’t believe it… What on earth did I do to deserve such a perfect life?”
Quinn was on cloud nine. She was pregnant with a child that she never thought that she would have, and she was engaged to the man that she loved the most in the world, the father of their little miracle. Everything in her life was falling into place, and although over a year ago she thought that she would never have a life like this. She thought that she’d be alone for the rest of her life, but now? Now she fell more in love with Sam every day, and the fact that she was able to have a child with him made it so much better. They never thought that the day would come that they would have children, and yet here they were.
She held Sam as close as she could to her, making sure that they were careful of her bump. The bump with their little baby inside. “I can’t believe you actually proposed! I didn’t think you were going to, not for a while anyway.” She said with a smile, knowing that her smile wasn’t going to be leaving her face any time soon. “We’re getting married, and we’re gonna be a family…” She grinned, kissing him back just as passionately as he was kissing her. “You were obviously very good in a previous life.” She chuckled softly, kissing him gently again. “I love you so much, Sam Evans…I can’t wait until I can become your wife.” She really couldn’t believe that she and Sam were engaged, and they were going to get married, and be their own little family… It was going to be so perfect.
It seemed like a lifetime passed until he heard Quinn’s soft, whispering voice. His heart was beating faster than ever, his hands were trembling as he was holding up the box, he couldn’t feel his own hands anymore, he was so nervous for her answer and a voice inside of his head kept saying please, please, please, please, please. If she was going to say no, then he would be so damn screwed. He needed her, and now that she was pregnant with his child, he needed her even more.
A relieved sigh and a deep breath escaped his lips when he heard her answer to his question. "Yes, yes!". It echoed inside of his head for so many times, he couldn’t even believe it. With his mouth wide open, he finally understood it a few seconds after. Getting up right away, Sam grinned, wrapped his arms around her as much as he could, while still being careful of the bump. “Oh, thank god…” He whispered and kissed her cheek over and over again until he finally let go of her, his hands finding their way to her face, cupping her cheeks and kissing her over and over again.
"Really?! You really want to marry me?!" Sam asked, while trying to put the ring on her finger. "I can’t believe you want to marry me… Mrs. Evans… I just… I love you, so so much!" He said, kissing her again and again and again, whilst still trying to put on the ring. It was then that he realized that the ring wouldn’t fit on her swollen finger. "I… uh…" Sam started, with an awkward chuckle. "I’m so sorry about this…"
Quinn smiled as she watched Sam down on one knee, and she couldn’t believe that he was actually proposing to her. The last time that they had mentioned the idea of marriage he freaked out completely and they ended up in a pretty big fight. She knew that he wouldn’t be down on one knee if he wasn’t completely serious about the idea of them getting married, and now that she was pregnant? Well that made everything all the more special, and they were going to be a proper little family.
Wrapping her arms around her new fiance, she couldn’t believe that it was all happening. When they had first decided to go to Hawaii, she didn’t think that they would be leaving the island engaged. She hadn’t been expecting a proposal from Sam, they were happy with the way that they were living together, and she didn’t need anything more from him. But being his fiance was better than she could ever have imagined, and there was absolutely no reason why she could say no. She wanted to marry Sam, more than ever.
"I love you so much, Sam." She smiled, enjoying the abundance of kisses that she was receiving, and gladly giving back to her new fiance. "We’re gonna get married!" She grinned, almost giddy with the excitement. She was on cloud nine, that she didn’t realize that her sausage fingers meant that she wasn’t able to get the ring on her finger, the only flaw in a perfect proposal, but Sam couldn’t have changed that. It was her fault that she couldn’t get the ring on her finger, and she couldn’t help but laugh a little. "I’m so sorry.. My damn sausage fingers…It’s all your fault you little miracle!" She said to her bump, laughing a little as she did so. "I want the ring on me though, even if I can’t get it on my finger…I could put it on my necklace chain? That way I can still have it, even if our little bug won’t let me have it on properly."
Okay, Sam… Just take a deep breath… It’s going to be fine, she’s going to say yes, because she loves you and you’re going to live happily ever after. Taking a deep breath, in through his nose and out through his mouth, Sam calmed himself down and he loosened his tie and the top button of his white dress-shirt. This was the scariest moment of his life, and Sam had gone through a lot of those before. There was the exam in junior year where he spilled a glass of water all over his teacher’s lap. And the time where he had been chased through the street by an aggressive German Shepherd. And then there was the time where he was holding his mother’s hand, while she was dying in the hospital bed. But this was most definitely the one time where he had been the most scared.
Why? Well, she could easily say no.
But why would she do that? She was having his baby, they were living together in their nice house in California, and they loved each other. Of course they loved each other. Sam’s love grew for Quinn every single day. So this was the perfect time to propose to her. To ask her to be his wife for the rest of their lives. That’s what he wanted, and he was going to try his hardest to get it.
Figdeting with the ring in his pocket, Sam went outside in the hot summer night. Hawaii was beautiful and it was the best break he had ever had, so he was thankful that Quinn had suggested it. Walking up to her, he watched as her dress moved with the wind and showed her baby bump. Their beautiful miracle. She was so gorgeous, he had no idea what he had even done to deserve her after all that time. But he was happy that she was still with him, he was never even going to think about complaining about it.
"God, you look so beautiful…" He whispered, as he walked up to her, and kissed the back of her earlobe lightly. His arms snuck around her, and as he placed them on her bump, he realized that the baby was soon going to be so big that he wouldn’t be able to have his arms around her fully. Not that he minded it. She was so gorgeous. "What in the world did I do to deserve you?" He asked rhetorically, and moved, so they were facing each other.
Sam moved a hand up to Quinn’s cheek, caressing it softly and leaning in to kiss her lips, almost just as softly. “I want to ask you a question…” He whispered against her lips, his legs shaking as he said that. He hoped desperately that she wouldn’t notice. Moving his hand down, he took both of hers into his and laced their fingers together. “I think it’s about time that I do this… I’ve been thinking about it for so many months now, but there was never a right time… You deserve a right time… The best time. Because after everything that you’ve done for me and all of the love and happiness that you’ve given me, you just deserve the best. I love you so much, Quinn, and I hope that you’ll say yes to this, because you’d make me the happiest man in the world…”
Letting go of her hands, Sam got out the black box and dropped down on one knee, opening the box and holding it up towards her.
"Quinn Fabray, will you do me the honor of becoming Quinn Evans?"
Quinn was enjoying their vacation to Hawaii. They’d been there for a few days already, and while she didn’t have the body that she used to have when she rocked a bikini, she was happier that she had the baby bump underneath her bathing suit. It was a baby bump that she thought that she’d never have, and even the doctors had been amazed considering the chances that she had been given for getting pregnant. The chances had been so slim for her to conceive, a one in a million chance, so she and Sam hadn’t been too careful…and they’d been rewarded because of it. Many people their age wouldn’t be as happy as they were to find out that they were pregnant, they’d think it would be too early…but not them. This might be their one chance at having a child, and she was going to cherish every single second of it.
She’d felt pretty stuffy in that hotel room, and needed to get out of there for just a little while. The breeze was nice on her, and the view? Well the view was even more spectacular. She didn’t know what Sam had in store for the two of them, since she’d just been told to dress nicely for the night, so she figured that they’d just be going out for a dinner together. She loved the time that they were spending together in Hawaii, without worrying about family, or figuring out how they were going to decorate the nursery, they were away from it all. They had time to relax, before they went back to reality.
Feeling Sam’s arms around her, she placed her hands over his as they touched her bump, one that seemed to be getting bigger and bigger every single day. It was a strange feeling, knowing that their child was growing inside of her. They’d made that child themselves, even though they thought that they’d never get the chance.
"A question?" She asked, a little intrigued by what he had to ask. She hadn’t even had the chance to tell him how good he looked in his shirt and tie, something that she’d always enjoyed seeing him in. Smiling as he laced their hands together, she looked down to see the hands over her bump (barely!), before lifting her head back up to meet his eyes. Listening to what he was saying, she thought about where it was heading. She thought she had a rough idea, but she couldn’t be sure, especially since the way he had reacted the last time that marriage had been mentioned. But that was before they’d found out that she was pregnant, for the first and possibly the only time.
She was given her answer when Sam dropped to one knee, presenting her with possibly the most beautiful ring she’d ever seen. “S-Sam..” she whispered, completely speechless by the question. She was aware that she’d probably wait a little bit too long to give her answer. “Yes, Sam. Yes, I will become Mrs Evans. Yes, yes!” She grinned, nodding her head so frantically that she thought it was going to fall off.
My guy is more handsome than yours.
i’ve got sand in uncomfortable places…
Then take a shower!
Good. I’ll just.. Hmm… Maybe I can get a job down at dad’s work. I used to make some money before Blaine and I went to Paris, at his office, by delivering mail and lunch and stuff like that… I could probably do that again and get a bit more money.
We’re doing okay for money, you know. If we need some more we can come up with a way to sort things out. But for now…let’s go to Hawaii for a few days.
No! Don’t sell one of your studios! Do not do that! I forbid it!
Okay, okay, calm down!
